More interesting cake traditions
In the olden days, little treasures would be hidden in cakes and signified something for those who found them: a coin meant wealth, a ring meant an upcoming wedding and a thimble (unfortunately) meant they would never get married. If it were me I’d leave the thimble out… what a way to ruin a perfectly nice cake-eating moment!
